Since there will be no Church on Sunday at Indian Fellowship, the congregation is warmly invited to worship with First Presbyterian Church of Puyallup, led by Rev. Sue Watkins. Pastor Irvin and Anne-Cecile will be there. Worship is at 10 AM. 412 W Pioneer, Puyallup.
The Puyallup tribe has closed all facilities until Monday, August 19th. This is a precaution due to some rumors of violence in the community. Because of this, there will not be any services at CIF on Sunday. Any questions may be directed to Pastor Irvin Porter 253.740.7180.

"Elona Street-Stewart, synod executive of the Synod of Lakes and Prairies, offered acknowledgement that “this place where we’re meeting was the homeland for many indigenous tribes,” who lived on the bounty of the tidelands and wooded areas, and who “sang the first song here.” Today, “we are still here,” Street-Stewart said. “We are not white, we are not Western, we are not seen, we are not immigrants, we are not Hollywood actors, we are not sports mascots. … We are still here. And our story is not finished.” Elona, the first Native woman to be synod executive in the PC(USA) is a long time friend of Church of the Indian Fellowship. A couple of weeks ago, she was one of the 60 women and keynote speaker of the Native Women conference that our church hosted.

CHURCH OF THE INDIAN FELLOWSHIP - CLEANUP DAY #2. We are not quite done with cleaning of the church in preparation to host our guests, The Native American Presbyterian Women's Conference. We are asking for volunteers to help complete the cleaning on Saturday, July 6th beginning at 9:00 AM continuing until we get done. Thanks!
CHURCH OF THE INDIAN FELLOWSHIP: Saturday, June 29th, 9:30 AM to 3 PM. We need your help. Please join us at the church beginning at 9:30 AM as we clean our church in preparation for hosting the Native American Presbyterian Women's Conference members in July. Please bring a dish or items to share for our potluck luncheon at 12 PM. The more helpers we have the quicker the work can be done.
TOWARD A RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH NATIVE PEOPLES - BLANKET EXERCISE: Saturday June 22nd - 1pm to 3pm; Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church; 2106 S Cushman Ave.; Tacoma. The “Blanket Exercise” is an interactive learning experience that explains the Indigenous rights history rarely taught in our schools. Presented by Rev. Irvin Porter, Church of the Indian Fellowship and Native American Intercultural Congregational Support - Presbyterian Church, USA. All are invited to attend.

This morning, we sang happy birthday to our talented pianist, Jorge Olmos, who plays this song all year long when one of us celebrate a birthday or anniversary! Jorge also teaches piano and can play for ceremonies and special occasions.
